Finally the winter quarter is coming to an end. Its been long, challenging and enjoyable! Perhaps this has been my favorite quarter so far. Been really wrapped up with my homework assignments that I hadn't had the time to stop by and update. Anyways! Here is drawing from one of my assignments in FASH 713 with Professor Mengjie (http://mengjiedi.blogspot.com/)

food and finance!
This image was done for Ryan Sanchez's Markets class where I had to do an illustration in the food market. So I chose to re-design a cookbook cover for "Food to Live By". At the end the typography wasn't very strong so I left it out :) Hope next time I am able to incorporate type better.
This illustration was done to accompany this article: http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2011-10-21/student-loan-debt-leads-to-confusion-protests-and-many-defaults.html
It was done to fit into the finance market!

Amadeus
Just a bit of the process I did for a poster for the movie Amadeus in Jorge Montero's Type & Image class.
Had not really made a poster before and I did not add all the logos and stuff to make it look official, lol :)
Someday I will go back and finish up this poster.

quickdraw!
Here is a piece from 2011, it was a project where I had to draw pieces of paper from a hat and the words I got were: "cowboy", "food", and "comical". I had so much fun drawing and sketching all sorts of different cowboys :).
In terms of technique, I was trying out an acrylic technique where the paint is applied in very thin washes and dry brushing. I liked the result a lot since it kind of has a pastel quality.

Children's Mural
So for a while, as you can tell, I was drawing bunnies quite a bit. This picture was made for a competition to decorate the walls of a children's hospital here in Savannah. My idea was just to draw something cheery. I wanted to focus on "healthy" living, so exercise and eating veggies! I also wanted for children who were to look at this to notice the shapes and the numbers of shapes in the image so they would be engaged with the image for a while.
