Children's Mural

So for a while, as you can tell, I was drawing bunnies quite a bit. This picture was made for a competition to decorate the walls of a children's hospital here in Savannah. My idea was just to draw something cheery. I wanted to focus on "healthy" living, so exercise and eating veggies! I also wanted for children who were to look at this to notice the shapes and the numbers of shapes in the image so they would be engaged with the image for a while.

Coasters and Salad Bar

Hello! So here are some of the projects I developed in my Drawing for Illustrators class with Megan Berkheiser. The first 6 images are from a series of squared coasters, front and back respectively. The last image was for a project were I had to illustrate a World Record, so I chose the World's Longest Salad Bar.

greeting cards

Hey there! so these are the rest of the greeting cards I designed. My idea behind them was "opening conversation". So I thought about shy animals, or animals who hide to portray this idea.

after a long break

It's been so long since I last updated my blog, I feel real bad about that. Anyways, here is one of the greeting card designs I did for a class last quarter. I designed 4 of them with animals (an ostrich, limpet, snail and armadillo) but here is the armadillo. <3

Some Sketches

These are all sketches drawn from life. I have been trying different looks and techniques with markers, pens, oil pastels and china markers. I think my favorites are the bicycle and the red portrait of my friend Heba. Hope you like them.

Treeman

Hey there! I think the Treeman is pretty much done.
I think I learned a lot with this assignment: using multiply layers and such.

The Illustration department is having a 100 life drawings challenge to be done before march 14th. I am trying to complete this challenge so I will be posting those sketches sometime soon!

1st post

This is a drawing taken from my sketchbook. It's a tree-man with a bird friend. Now that I am taking a class about Photoshop I decided to take it and color it. Here is what it looks like so far. I will have more later. Enjoy!
